Why Your Sunscreen Leaves a White Cast (and How to Fix It)

If you have deeper skin and have ever felt ghostly after applying SPF, you are not imagining it. The culprit is usually zinc oxide or titanium dioxide sitting on the skin's surface and reflecting visible light.

The fix is not skipping sunscreen — UV damage is the leading cause of dark spots. Instead, look for micronised mineral filters in a hybrid base, like our Invisible Sunscreen SPF 50, which disappears on melanin-rich skin while still offering broad-spectrum protection.

Apply two finger-lengths daily and reapply every two hours outdoors.
